Titleist 680 Irons Review

One of the company's many offerings for skilled players, the Titleist 680 Irons give players who are confident in their swings a set of clubs that allows them to take their game to a new level.

The Titleist 680 Irons are the sister club of the 670 series, but has a slightly more compact clubhead even more geared to the needs of elite players. It also has a wide sole, getting a bounce that can help those with aggressive swings get the ball where they want it to go, and a thinner top line that gives it more of a Tour profile.

Though these are far from being game improvement irons, the Titleist 680 irons are forgiving enough that a ball hit slightly off-center won't wind up in the trees. The center of gravity helps get the ball in the air with the proper trajectory, and the clubface is hot enough to get the ball flying down the fairway.

The Titleist 680 irons are high-end clubs, available new by custom order from the manufacturer. They aren't the appropriate set for someone just learning the game, or for anyone struggling with their swing who is more worried about the basics than about pro-level shot shaping. But elite players will find these clubs hit the mark in helping them get the most out of their abilities.
