Ping Rapture Irons Review
With its Ping Rapture Irons, the company known for its innovative club design has produced a series that uses multiple metals to meld the best of modern technology with the classic Ping style.
The Ping Rapture irons are constructed from three different metals; titanium, stainless steel, and tungsten. The combination of weights, particularly the dense tungsten in the club's sole, help produce a high MOI and an optimal center of gravity. It’s a forgiving series of clubs that also gives golfers a better sense of control.

Two other aspects of the club that have garnered strong reviews are the Custom Turning Point (CTP) insert and the undercut cavity design. The elastomer insert in the rear of the clubface offers improved feel and enhanced stability at impact, while the undercut cavity design in the sole lowers the center of gravity and produces a more optimal launch angle. With the improved launch conditions and maximum forgiveness, it's easier to get the ball to land softly on the green.
The Ping Rapture irons carry a suggested retail price of $1,199, and are intended for mid to high handicappers. They can be found in both right and left handed models, and with graphite or steel shafts.
