In making its Cleveland CG7 Irons, Cleveland Golf constructed a set of clubs that uses technological innovation and new design elements to create clubs that provide feel, forgiveness, and distance.
One big asset here is the Dynamic Microcavity Technology. The Cleveland CG7 Irons have microcavities that are progressively sized, decreasing in length from long to short irons. That optimizes the center of gravity in each clubhead, moving the discretionary weight lower and deeper so that each iron in the series has the appropriate speed, distance, and control factors.
Adding to the forgiveness is the heel/toe muscle weighting. The Cleveland CG7 Irons have an MOI that is six percent higher than a traditional iron, making it easier to thrive despite off-center hits.

The piece de resistance here is company's 360-degree Gelback Technology, which refers to the injection-molded lightweight visco-elastic insert. No small piece of plastic, this is big enough to cover the entire perimeter of the cavity and the base of the clubhead, stifling any vibration for a smoother feel even on off-center hits.
